It’s Leanne’s desire to go above and beyond for people that stands her apart in her industry. She’s particular about the flowers that she buys and only buys from the best flower growers in the market. “I’ve been told I’m the top florist buyer,” she says, meaning she’s there at the flower market, three mornings a week from 6am, choosing the freshest, brightest, most beautiful floral beauties for Victoria Florists.
Last the longest
Because Leanne is buying flowers often, she’s always got the freshest offerings for her customers. “My motto is to buy small amounts more often,” Leanne says. “Although during COVID we’ve had to go to the markets online, I can still see which are the freshest, and I know the best growers.” As a result, Leanne and the team are always receiving phone calls to tell them that the flowers they buy from Victoria Florists always last the longest.
Despite the long days and years of dedication, Leanne wouldn’t change it for the world. “I muck in with my team of six. I sweep the flower and answer the phone and do whatever is needed. I just love flowers, and I love bringing joy, whether big or small.”
