We had a wonderful winter…but it’s hard not to being surrounded by beautiful blooms and lovely customers every day! However, the change in season is getting us excited as the days lengthen, the weather warms and there’s even more variety at the flower markets.
Peony season has now started, and we have beautiful, export-quality peonies available now.

Looking ahead, we expect to see pastels making their mark in both fashion and in homes. Think buttery yellows, vintage rose and soft lavenders – and now imagine these gorgeous hues grounded with the deep murky tones of rich greens and gentle browns.

Sustainable Blooms
Ethical bouquets, flowers with conscience, eco-chic blooms…call them what you want, but our reality is sustainable floristry is big right now and consumers are demanding more from the industry.
We’re in a lucky position, able to source locally grown and seasonal flowers from Canterbury growers, reducing the environmental footprint of flowers by eliminating long-distance transport. Seasonality plays a vital role in sustainability too, accessibility reducing the need for energy-intensive greenhouse cultivation.
Finally, we love nothing better than a made-to-order bouquet. Not only do you get the bouquet you want, but we can order the flowers ahead of time and reduce product waste – a win-win for all of us!
